The Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital (SDMH) provides acute Medical and Surgical services as well as Orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit that incorporates High Dependency and Coronary Care beds. The hospital also operates an Emergency Department located adjacent to the main entrance of the hospital. The hospital has a busy Obstetric Unit and Children's ward. Shoalhaven Hospital is networked with other hospitals in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District and a number of services are conducted as outreach services from Wollongong; these include Cancer Services and Renal Services.
